About the speaker

Gabriella Coluccelli graduated in 1997 in Electronic Engineering at Bologna University. She has been dealing with telecommunications for nearly 20 years. Eclectic, with a full work experience in different departments, from Technology to Institutional Affairs as well as Marketing and Strategies, she should be able to offer an interesting point of view on telecommunication key issues. In fact, she has successfully managed different roles in the industry:

  • Technology (planning Tim and Wind mobile networks, in Italy and abroad - Curitiba/Brazil)
  • Marketing (business analysis of fixed, mobile, and internet offering, and pricing effectiveness)
  • Strategies (competitive context analysis, demand and offering monitoring; ensuring the current and forecasted economic analysis of the national and international telecommunications market)
  • Institutional Affairs (following Institutional Relations both at Italian (Parliament and Government) and European level, ensuring the legislative monitoring and relations with key institutions)

Abstract

The € 6 billion Strategic Plan to extend the ultra-broadband all over our country sounds like a call to arms, a plea to all parties involved. Everybody should do their part, nor only the local or central public authorities, but also the ICT sector, companies, associations and citizens have to act.

Going over the Government declaration we are trying to understand:

  • what the new strategy is about,
  • how the Plan will work,
  • which technologies will be involved and
  • which market will welcome the implementation of the strategy
