Energy autonomous electronic circuits and systems

This research activity pursues the development of fully autonomous electronic systems, able to extract the required energy from their surrounding environment. Specific energy transducers, such as piezoelectric, thermoelectric and RF are modelled and characterized. Besides, micro-/nano-power circuits for energy conversion and management are being designed in CMOS and PCB technologies for ensuring operation with ultra-low available power and voltage levels, beyond the current state of the art.
