Ultrasonic methods for the characterization of biological tissues, materials, and structures

The research activity is focused on signal analysis and processing methods for ultrasound diagnosis systems. Original design procedures and fast computation algorithms were proposed for specific applications such as Structural Health Monitoring and biomedical signal processing. Computer aids for prostate cancer diagnosis, advanced time-frequency analysis techniques for non destructive tests, and state of the art signal processing implementation technologies (DSP, GPU) are other research topics.

Research staff
