MICREL - Microelectronic Laboratory

Research activities

The research activity concerns embedded systems featuring innovative microelectronics components. These include: sensors (included original ones), electronic intrumentation (also in virtual form), communication systems and protocols (particularly for wireless communications) and microcontrollers. The research includes also studies on innovative interfaces for man-computer interactions.
The main applications are in the field of automation, electro-medical instrumentation and food processing.

  • Advanced electronic instrumentation for measurements on PCB and devices (packadged as well as on wafer).
  • Optical instrumentation for transmittance measurement of visible, UV and infrared radiation.
  • Systems for the development and prototyping of embedded systems.
  • Acquisition boards for the development of automatic test systems based on LabVIEW.
  • Instrumentation to realize PCB.
